Why Form?

Dec 22, 2008 at 7:57 PM

I've been reading your blog entries about the mobile mvc project and i was starting to like it even more after each post.
But then i saw you were using Form objects for every view. Why more than one form? Why not one form and lots of panels? Creating and disposing or even caching forms is much more expensive than switching panels!!

Have u thought about this?

I don't think there would be a very big difference between using forms vs multiple panels on a form, but the technique you describe is a valid technique when developing for devices. And there's nothing in the framework that prevents you from using Frames.
Just create a class that inherits from Frame and implements IView interface. You can take a look at the ViewControl class for a sample.

Thanks... Alex
